This is the Held Phantom glove. It's not just a good-looking glove, it features top-shelf details:
+ Palm and back in highly abrasion-resistant sweat-proof and colourfast kangaroo leather.
+ Unlined palm.
+ Back and thumb fully padded with shock-absorbing SUPROTECT and 100% Kevlar_.
+ Held discovered that one of the most common motorcycle injuries is dislocation of the little finger. This happens because the little finger is inadequately protected. To avoid this, we have given the little and ring fingers additional Kevlar_ padding on the inside and outside.
+ Pre-formed, crumple-free palm.
+ Special flat seams reduce pressure points on the inner hand, and enhance feel.
+ GFC shells with 100% Kevlar_ ceramic polymer matrix coating give perfect protection to the side of the hand and knuckles.
+ Side of hands and knuckles protected with highly abrasion-resistant rayskin, (dasyatis bleekeri), a world first. This is underlaid with shock-absorbing gel, for + unmatched impact protection.
+ Protected Velcro straps on the cuff and wrist.
+ Visor wiper - handy.

These are probably one of the best qualify gloves I've seen. TONS of protective features over the Italian competition and moderately priced too. I've seen some "track tested" Phantoms and the damage they show was absolutely minimal. Kudos to Held for using Stingray skin on the important low friction areas and the temper foam in the sensitive areas. I really wish we could get the Gore-Tex version of the Akira in the States.

These gloves are the best gloves on the market. A long list of features. Unbelievable build quality and comfort. Should easily last a few crashes and/or a few years without a problem. The venting is great too.
