The Ducati 848, 1098 and 1198 two piece MWR air filter kit is a vast improvement over the original filter. Dirt can easily bypass the original filter by entering the airbox and engine under the rubber seal. MWR has fixed this major flaw by utilizing a seal made of the same material as the filter itself; oiled foam. Available in either a Road and Race version or a Race only version.
The Race air filter was designed on the track using race bikes with dataloggers - not on a dyno using estimations. Due to new materials and design performance has been increased over the standard filter while maintaining the same level of filtration, but for a shorter period of time.
MWR Air Filters are handmade in the Netherlands of top quality materials. Unlike all other foam filters MWR Air Filters are made entirely from special Fire Resistant (FR) foam and use FR biodegradable filter oil, protecting both the environment and your engine.
All MWR Air Filters are shipped out pre-oiled and ready to install. Filters should be cleaned and re-oiled with MWR filter cleaner and oil once a year to ensure best performance and the longest filter life. Filters can be washed and oiled up to 25 times. Race filters should be cleaned and oiled every race weekend.
