I bought this water pump housing to replace a skinned up stock housing on my 2009 Bimota DB7. The housing was very easy to install and came with all the required hardware. Once installed the fit and finish was excellent and O think the temperature actually runs a little lower.
I was not able to locate the recommended sealant and initially used blue rtv twice. The first time i allowed the minimum cure time and then installed. It leaked. The second time I applied a small bead around the entire surface and let cure overnight. It leaked. Got some red permatex rtv and applied a very thin coat to both the engine and the housing. immediately installed and let sit 24 hrs. This worked!! Don't forget to tighten in a star pattern and use small torque steps to get a consistent seal!!
