I’ve been using the SpeedyMoto full-lenth sliders on my Ducati 696 for over a year. The high-density polyethylene material is very robust. I had concerns about using them so close to the hot engine, but SpeedyMoto affirmed that the HDPE will handle the heat without any problems. HDPE also does not absorb moisture like nylon. The large stud that fits through the engine is not part of this kit, and this kit just includes the replacement pucks, large washers, small washers, and the allen screw that holds the pucks to the big stud. I crash tested one of the sliders in a slow low-side incident. The slider got shaved off by a few millimeters and lots of rocks became embedded in the surface. However, it kept the wet clutch case far away from the road surface and saved a lot of more expensive components from being damaged. I still had to replace the handlebar, grip, rear brake pedal, front brake lever, and the footpeg though. Replacing the frame slider puck is straight forward as the sliders are attached to the main bolt via stud/nuts. Overall, I really like the SpeedyMoto sliders and I chose them over the competition because of their design.
